

Smoke & Fire Curtains
In the event of a fire, our gravity fail-safe curtains automatically deploy to contain smoke and fire. This slows spread across a building, crucially allowing more time for safe emergency evacuation.

Our products can be designed to fit into many applications such as lift doors, doorways, staircases, mezzanine floors and more.
- Smoke Curtains – We are able to provide products that offer 60 minutes to 180 minutes fire integrity, rated at 600°C
- Fire Curtains – Providing fire compartmentation and protected means of escape with up to 4 hours integrity and 2 hours radiation ratings.
Fire Barrier Curtains
Fire curtains are utilised to provide fire compartmentation, a protected means of escape, and demise-line protection.
The use of fire curtains allows an architect or fire engineer the flexibility to design and adjust buildings to suit their use safely, without the restrictions of multiple compartment walls.
Protected means of escape can now be open areas; compartments need not have endless rows of fire doors and walls, with fire curtains only deploying when required.
Vertical penetrations such as escalator or elevator openings can be protected to prevent any fire spreading.

Curtains can be designed to encompass the small openings in compartments right through to large areas to be closed off. When coupled with obstruction sensors, multi-stage drops and emergency retract buttons, the systems will meet almost any requirement.

Smoke Barrier Curtains
Smoke curtains are an integral part of many buildings’ life safety systems. They provide smoke compartmentation, smoke channelling, protection to lift shafts and escalator openings.
The use of active barriers provides an effective and discrete method of containing and directing smoke. Static barriers can be formed using fabric in loft spaces, high level warehouse environments and as permanent smoke barriers.
